Showers are turning light and tapering off along the western
foothills, but healthier showers will continue over central and
eastern portions of the forecast area today. The risk of flooding
continues.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, along
with flash flooding over recent burn scars.

* WHERE...Southeast Montana and Sheridan County Wyoming.

* WHEN...Through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks and
other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in
poor drainage and urban areas. The risk of flooding will diminish
late this afternoon and evening as showers taper off.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The heaviest rainfall is slowly shifting eastward to southeast
Montana and northeast Wyoming.
- The Elk and McGhee-Remington burn scars are particularly
vulnerable to flash flooding and debris flows. Any other burn
scars from this summer will have elevated flash flood potential
as well.
