FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... North Central Cibola County in west central New Mexico... Central McKinley County in west central New Mexico... * Until 730 PM MDT Thursday. * At 123 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 0.75 inches of rain have fallen in the past hour with earlier rainfall amounts from yesterday exceeding 1-inch. This has led to saturated soils, and additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Grants, Milan and San Rafael in Cibola County. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 70 and 88.
