* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southern Jewell County in north central Kansas...

* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 110 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that a narrow stripe of 2-4 inches of heavy rain fell from early
morning thunderstorms...mainly stretching from the southwest
corner of Jewell County up to around Mankato...with additional
lighter rain falling since then. Jewell County Emergency
Management reported that several unpaved rural roads had been or
are still closed in this area due to flooding, washed-out
shoulders and standing water. Although water levels have subsided
somewhat since this morning, additional moderate to heavy rain...
potentially as much as 2 to 4 inches...is likely this afternoon
into tonight. Should this additional heavy rain materialize, this
could cause renewed flooding issues, and perhaps the possibility
of more urgent flash flooding concerns.

Creek, Porcupine Creek, Middle Limestone Creek, Browns Creek,
East Fork Big Timber Creek, West Buffalo Creek, Middle Buffalo

Creek, Ash Creek, Buffalo Creek, Dry Creek, Granite Creek, Oak
Creek, East Buffalo Creek.
- Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Mankato, Jewell, Ionia and Montrose, but mainly rural areas
outside of these towns.
