* Flash Flood Warning for...
Western Harlan County in southeastern Kentucky...

* Until 1115 PM EDT.

* At 925 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Harlan, Loyall, Evarts, Sunshine, Tway, Elcomb, Harlan Gas, Baxter,
Clovertown, Teetersville, Kitts, Grays Knob, Golden Ash, White
Star, Mary Alice, Chevrolet, Rosspoint, Coxton, Lenarve and
Tremont.

Portions of this area experienced heavy rainfall and flash flooding
from storms earlier this afternoon. Those areas may be particularly
sensitive to additional rainfall.
