The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Geary County in east central Kansas...
Morris County in east central Kansas...

* Until 715 PM CDT.

* At 625 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles south of Junction City to near Burdick,
moving northeast at 35 mph.

THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR Latimer and Parkerville.

HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement. At 619 PM CDT, law enforcement reported
wind gusts in Herington around 75 mph.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

* Locations impacted include...
Herington, Council Grove, White City, Dwight, Wilsey, Parkerville,
Latimer, Council Grove Lake, and Burdick.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 306 and 316.
