* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeastern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... Eastern Sierra County in south central New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 1000 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 741 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Upham, Cuchillo, Truth or Consequences, Engle, Cutter, City of Elephant Butte, Palomas, Spaceport America, Williamsburg, Alamosa Canyon and Elephant Butte Lake. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
