At 847 PM MDT, flooding continues on the Rio Grande, and water is
beginning to recede on Rincon Arroyo. A band of moderate to briefly
heavy rain showers is moving through the area, but will not likely
exacerbate flooding to a significant degree.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain and runoff.

SOURCE...Gauges reported.

IMPACT...Flooding on the Rio Grande and side arroyos.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Rincon, Peaceful Valley, Rinconcito, Selden Canyon, and low lying
areas just above Leasburg Dam.

River gauges show the Rincon Arroyo has dropped by about 1.5 feet
since 8 PM. The Rio Grande crested at 10.87 feet or 6300 cfs at
Hayners Bridge below Rincon at 7:32 PM, but has only dropped by a few
inches since then. The river continues to rise slowly at Leasburg.
Flooding is not anticipated south of Leasburg due to levee
protection.
