SMWCLE The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Nearshore waters from The Islands OH to Willowick OH... Open waters from The Islands OH to Willowick OH... * Until 645 PM EDT. * At 451 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 16 nm north of Kelleys Island to 9 nm northwest of Put-In-Bay to 12 nm southeast of North Cape, moving southeast at 40 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Western Vermilion, Avon Point, Sandusky Bay, Huron, Willowick, Lorain Harbor, Vermilion, and Cleveland.
