Animas River Near Cedar Hill affecting San Juan County.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.

* WHERE...Animas River near Cedar Hill.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, The river would be near an all time high.
Areas along the river that never before experienced flooding will
likely be inundated as water levels continue to rise.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:00 PM MST Monday the stage was estimated at 12.56 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to remain in flood stage through
this evening, then gradually fall below flood stage by Tuesday
morning, and continue falling thereafter.
- Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
