The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
Southeastern Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 345 PM MST Tuesday.

* At 940 AM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to
2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Catalina, Oro Valley, Marana, Oracle, Casas Adobes, Saddlebrooke,
San Manuel, Saddlebrooke Ranch, Tortolita, Mount
Lemmon/Summerhaven, Catalina State Park, Catalina Foothills,
Saguaro National Park West, Picture Rocks, Campo Bonito, Biosphere
2, Oracle Junction, Dove Mountain and Redington.

This includes the following highways...
Route 79 between mile markers 92 and 94. Route 77 between mile
markers 73 and 101. Interstate 10 between mile markers 243 and 249.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
River Rd at San Pedro River, Silverbell Rd near Ina Rd, Overton Rd at
Canada del Oro, Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste and E Wilds Rd at
the Canada del Oro.
