* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms will develop over the ridgeline of the Sacramento
Mountains late Saturday morning peaking midday Saturday. Very
slow and erratic storm motion along with rainfall rates in excess
of 2 inches an hour will result in a higher risk for flash
flooding on the Ruidoso area burn scars. Storms and the overall
flash flood risk should taper off over the area by the mid to
late afternoon.
