FFWHGX The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Central Polk County in southeastern Texas... * Until 530 PM CDT. * At 303 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 9 inches of rain have fallen over the last 24 hours. The expected rainfall rate is 3 to 6 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated.
