The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Coconino County in north central Arizona...
Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 830 PM MST.

* At 341 PM MST, the river guage on Oak Creek near Sedona remained
near flood stage, with futher rises expected. Oak Creek at
Cornville remained above moderate flood stage. emergency management
has reported flooding around Tlaquepaque in Sedona. Flash flooding
is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

* For Oak Creek at Cornville:
At 3:00pm the stage was 16.94 feet.
Flood Stage is 8.0 feet.
Forecast: A is expected at late this evening around 19 feet.
Impacts:
At 17.0 feet: Inundation begins to affect fish hatchery across from
gauge site.
At 21.0 feet: Stream reaches bridge at Page Springs Rd.

For Oak Creek at Sedona:
At 2:45pm the stage was 13.93 feet.
Flood Stage is 14.0 feet.
Forecast: A crest is expected late this evening near 18 feet.
Impacts:
At 13.0 feet: Stream reaches terrace under Tlaquepaque bridge. Low
water crossings closed.
At 14.0 feet: Flood stage. Several islands downstream in Sedona
evacuated. Minor flooding of access roads, buildings, and
residences along Oak Creek.
At 16.0 feet: Flooding begins at Rancho Sedona RV Park on Bear
Wallow Lane, Trails End Drive, Oak Creek Mobilodge, Poco Diablo
Resort on Sycamore Road and Oak Creek Cliffs Drive, and Chavez
Crossing Campground.
At 18.0 feet: Minor damage to shops and galleries near the
Tlaquepaque bridge.
At 20.0 feet: Major flooding to mobile homes downstream from the
Tlaquepaque bridge and access roads along Oak Creek through Sedona.

Pine Flats, Uptown Sedona, Sedona Airport, Red Rock State Park,

Mountain Wilderness, Cathedral Rock and Oak Creek Vista Overlook.

State Route 179 between mile markers 310 and 313. State Route 89A
between mile markers 373 and 384...and between mile markers 386 and
390.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Manzanita Campground, Pine Flat Campground, Cave Springs Campground
and Windmill Park.

This includes the following swimming holes...
Pumphouse Wash, Slide Rock, Encinoso, Grasshopper Point, Midgely
Bridge, Buddha Beach "Red Rock Crossing", Crescent Moon Ranch and
Mormons Crossing.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
