The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 800 PM MST.

* At 503 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in the Prescott and Chino Valley areas. Between 1 and
2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Chino Valley, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Prescott Regional Airport,
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Willow Creek Reservoir,
Watson Lake, Fain Lake, Prescott Gateway Mall, Paulden, Center
Street Park, Community Center Park, Jim McCasland Willow Creek Park
and Watson Lake Park.

This includes the following highways...
State Route 69 between mile markers 288 and 295. State Route 89
between mile markers 314 and 335. State Route 89A between mile
markers 318 and 324.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Watson Lake Park.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Little Chino Valley, Willow Creek, Verde River, Granite Creek,
Bottleneck Wash, Agua Fria River and Lynx Creek.
