* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and southeast New
Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico,
Eastern Lincoln County and South Central Mountains. In east central
New Mexico, Curry County and Roosevelt County. In southeast New
Mexico, Chaves County Plains and Southwest Chaves County.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A swath of heavy rain over the past 24 hours from near Ruidoso
through Roswell up to Clovis of 2 to 6 inches of rain will allow
any new storm passing over this area to threaten flash flooding
through today and this evening.
- Rapid runoff and flash flooding will be most likely in complex
terrain, below recent burn scars, low-lying areas, urban areas,
normally dry arroyos, near rivers and streams, and in locations
where the ground is already saturated from recent heavy rainfall.
