The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Grant County in southwestern New Mexico...

* Until 630 PM MDT.

* At 330 PM MDT, Very slow moving thunderstorms were located over
Georgetown, and near Mimbres. These storms are producing torrential
rainfall rates, and will lead to flooding in low water crossings on
Highway 35 between the Wilderness Ranger District Office and just
north of the road to Georgetown. Back roads around Georgetown will
also experience localized flooding. Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
