* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Areas along and east of the central mountain chain,
including the east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo's, Glorieta Pass,
the Estancia Valley and Basin, and eastern Lincoln County eastward
to the TX border. Some metro areas and locales include Raton, Las
Vegas, Moriarty, Clayton, Santa Rosa, Tucumcari, Fort Sumner,
Clovis, Portales, and Roswell.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through late Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A near-record to record surge of monsoonal moisture combined with
two merging storm systems will bring a prolonged multi- day
period of showers and thunderstorms producing moderate to heavy
rainfall. Combined with already rain soaked ground conditions,
there is a high risk of flash flooding.
- Low-lying, poorly drained areas, urban areas and arroyo systems,
and burn scars will be most susceptible. Near rivers and streams
will see rises, potentially reaching flood stage.
