* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central,
northeast, and southeast New Mexico, including the following areas,
in central New Mexico, Central Highlands, Eastern Lincoln County
and Estancia Valley. In east central New Mexico, Curry County, De
Baca County, Guadalupe County, Quay County and Roosevelt County. In
north central New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains
and Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass. In northeast New Mexico,
Eastern San Miguel County, Far Northeast Highlands, Harding County,
Johnson and Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass, Northeast
Highlands and Union County. In southeast New Mexico, Chaves County
Plains and Southwest Chaves County.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through late Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A near-record to record surge of moisture combined with two
merging storm systems will bring a prolonged multi-day period of
showers and thunderstorms producing moderate to heavy rainfall.
Combined with already rain-soaked soil, there is a moderate to
high risk of flash flooding.
- Low-lying, poorly drained areas, urban areas and arroyo systems,
and burn scars will be most susceptible. Rivers and streams will
see rises, potentially reaching flood stage.
