FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico... * Until 500 AM MDT. * At 207 AM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. Rain gauges in the Placitas area indicate that between 1 and 2 inches fell within the past 2 hours. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Bernalillo, Corrales, Santa Ana Pueblo, Coronado State Monument, San Felipe Pueblo, Sandia Pueblo, Placitas and Algodones. This includes the following highways...
