* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Espanola Valley and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. This includes areas near and downstream of the Frijoles wildfire burn scar. * WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Deep monsoon moisture will continue to produce numerous showers and thunderstorms. Stronger storms will be capable of producing heavy rain at rates of one to two inches per hour. Some locations will receive multiple rounds of storms. Recent wildfire burn scars, urban areas, communities with underdeveloped infrastructure, complex terrain, and locations where the ground is already saturated will be favored for rapid runoff and flash flooding.
