.Heavy rains North and East of Lake Arthur will result in significant
and dangerous rises in the river throughout today and tomorrow. Pay
attention to river forecasts for changes in height and timing
information.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.

* WHERE...Pecos River near Lake Arthur.

* WHEN...From this evening to Sunday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:15 AM MDT Friday the stage was 5.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 17.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 22.6 feet tomorrow morning. It will
then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.9
feet on 09/24/1941.
