* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Including the following areas, Fairbanks, North Pole, Two
Rivers, Fort Wainwright, Ester, Fox and Chena Hot Springs Road From
Mp 12 To Mp 34.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Heavy rain may result in minor flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The Chena River is running higher than normal and will continue
to be high through the week. More rain is expected beginning
Tuesday and will continue through Wednesday afternoon. Storm
total rainfall during this time will be around 0.50" to 1.00". It
has been very wet lately and this amount of rain has the
potential to bring the Chena and Little Chena Rivers above minor
flood stage beginning Wednesday.

- This means low-lying and typical flood-prone areas may
experience areas of flooding from Wednesday through the end of
the week as water levels gradually rise then fall. In addition,
while we are not expecting much flooding away from rivers,
streams and creeks, as the ground is already saturated and may
struggle to hold more water. This can lead to pooling and ponding
of water across the area which may make travel difficult in
localized spots.

- There is some uncertainty with exact timing and amounts of
rainfall but as details become clearer, we will continue to
update.
