FFWSLC The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... South Central Garfield County in southern Utah... Northeastern Kane County in southern Utah... * Until 1100 PM MDT. * At 845 PM MDT, the river gauge on the Escalante River at Escalante indicated another flood wave near 2560 cfs that will continue to surge down the Escalante River. The Flash Flood Warning has been extended until 1000 PM MDT. Up to 2.25 inches of rain has fallen primarily near the town of Escalante upstream of this warning. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
