Aviso de inundación repentina

At 224 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain in east central and southeast Socorro County. Up to 1.5 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Socorro, San Antonio, Bosque Del Apache Refuge, Bingham, Escondida,
Lemitar, Laborcita and Luis Lopez.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 380 between Mile Markers 1 and 35. Interstate 25 between Mile
Markers 103 and 146...and between Mile Markers 148 and 150...and near
Mile Marker 154.

At 1222 PM MDT, White Sands Missile Range reported water over a road
in southeast Socorro County.
