Coconino County in north central Arizona... * Until 400 AM MST. * At 1237 AM MST, a gauge on the Moenkopi Wash reported a rise above action stage from heavy rain in the Moenkopi Wash basin. Further rapid rises are expected, with water levels expected to exceed major flood stage. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding. SOURCE...River gauge reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of Moenkopi Wash. * For Moenkopi Wash at Moenkopi Wash Near Tuba City: At 10:45pm MST the stage was 26.77 feet. Flood Stage is 27.0 feet. Forecast: A crest of 28.74 feet is expected at 6:00am MST Monday. Impacts: At 27.0 feet: At 27.0 feet water begins to encroach on homes in lower Moenkopi Village and floods crop fields along the river. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Moenkopi. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Fivemile Wash, Hamblin Wash, Begashibito Wash and Moenkopi Wash.
