Northwestern Highlands County in south central Florida... * Until 1100 AM EST. * At 928 AM EST, Emergency Management in DeSoto County reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Water has been reported entering structures. Between 5 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
