* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of Utah, including the following areas, Glen Canyon Recreation Area/Lake Powell, South Central Utah, Western Canyonlands and Zion National Park. * WHEN...From late tonight through late Wednesday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, dry washes, slot canyons, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations such as slickrock areas and recent burn scars. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Deep moisture will remain in place across the region. Several disturbances will fuel development of thunderstorms with rainfall rates in excess of 0.25 to 0.50 inches per hour. In areas with training thunderstorms, rainfall rates will exceed 0.50 inches per hour. This will cause flash flooding in areas such as normally dry washes, slot canyons, and slickrock areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
