At 339 AM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5
inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1
inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. Rain gauges in the Placitas area
indicate that between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain fell between
Midnight and 2 AM MDT.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Bernalillo, Corrales, Santa Ana Pueblo, Coronado State Monument,
San Felipe Pueblo, Sandia Pueblo, Placitas and Algodones.

Highway 550 between Mile Markers 1 and 2. Interstate 25 between Mile
Markers 236 and 254.
