The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach out 60 NM...

* Until 845 AM EDT.

* At 648 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 12 NM northeast of Y-73 Reef, moving north
at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
