FFWFGZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Yavapai County in west central Arizona... * Until 845 AM MST. * At 548 AM MST, a river gauge on the Aqua Fria River reported a rapid rise of 3 feet from thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...River gauge reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Rock Springs. This includes Interstate 17 near mile marker 242. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Black Canyon Campground.
