Shoal River near Mossy Head (CR 1087) affecting Walton County. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Shoal River near Mossy Head (CR 1087). * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Water reaches the base of the New Harmony Road bridge. Water begins to cross Williams Road near the Mill Creek Bridge. Nearly all residences on Plantation lane are flooded at this level. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 22.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:15 AM CDT Saturday was 22.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 14.2 feet Monday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 22.3 feet on 01/21/2010. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
