Pea River at Elba (US 84) affecting Coffee County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pea River at Elba (US 84). * WHEN...From this evening to Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 32.0 feet, Moderate flooding on the Pea River will affect homes outside the levee near Elba and will extend to Smith Avenue, otherwise known as State Highway 125. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 31.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 30.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 31.5 feet on 04/05/1960. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
