The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Lake Erie from Lake Erie Beach to Buffalo Harbor...
The Upper and Lower Niagara River and Buffalo Harbor...

* Until 815 PM EDT.

* At 614 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 30 nm west of Niagara River, moving
southeast at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could
result in structural damage.

Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Youngstown, Grand Island,
Wanakah, Lewiston, Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon
