Mississippi River at Winfield. Mississippi River at Hannibal. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal. * WHEN...From Thursday evening to Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, John Hay Recreation Area on east side (inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Thursday evening to a crest of 17.4 feet Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
