For the Rio Grande...including Del Norte...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rio Grande near Del Norte. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 7.5 feet, Major Flood. Water reaches base of Twin Mountain Bridge on Hanna Lane Road west of Del Norte. At 6.5 feet, water begins flowing over Hanna Lane Road west of Del Norte. Homes near First Street and the Oak Street Bridge on Colorado Highway 112 are threatened by high water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:45 PM MST Sunday the stage was 4.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 7.5 feet late tonight.
