FFWFGZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Yavapai County in west central Arizona... * Until 200 PM MST. * At 1143 AM MST, a river gauge on the Agua Fria River at Rock Springs reported a rapid rise of 3.5 feet from thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is expected to continue. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...River gauge reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Rock Springs. This includes Interstate 17 near mile marker 242. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Black Canyon Campground. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Agua Fria River, Slate Creek and Black Canyon Creek.
