Southwestern Chatham County in central North Carolina... * Until 1045 AM EDT. * At 1006 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Seagrove, or 7 miles southwest of North Carolina Zoo, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Asheboro, North Carolina Zoo, and Seagrove around 1010 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Franklinville, Staley, Ulah, Ramseur, and Harpers Crossroads. This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 61 and 73.
