* WHAT...Temperatures of 88 to 108 expected. Northwest Sundowner
winds 15-30 mph with gusts 35-45 mph. Local gusts to 50 mph near
Gaviota and Refugio.

* WHERE...Calabasas and Agoura Hills, Eastern San Fernando Valley,
Eastern Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, Los Angeles
County Beaches, Los Angeles County Inland Coast including Downtown
Los Angeles, Los Angeles County San Gabriel Valley, Malibu Coast,
Palos Verdes Hills, Western San Fernando Valley, and Western Santa
Monica Mountains Recreational Area

* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM PDT this evening.
For the Wind Advisory, from 5 PM this afternoon to 6 AM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat events. Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be
blown down and a few power outages may result.
