FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Cibola County in west central New Mexico... * Until 300 PM MDT. * At 1153 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms producing heavy rain near and south of McCartys and San Fidel. Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... McCartys, Skyline-Ganipa, Acomita Lake and North Acomita Village. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 94 and 98.
