A deepening area of low pressure north of the Hawaiian Islands has drawn deep tropical moisture over the area resulting in a threat for flooding for Oahu today. * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Oahu. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue into this afternoon as deep tropical moisture is drawn northward over the area. Training of heavy showers containing intense rain rates is possible.
