The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
South Central Garfield County in southern Utah...
Northeastern Kane County in southern Utah...

* Until 100 AM MDT.

* At 1054 PM MDT, the river gauge on the Escalante River at Escalante
indicates flows stagnating around 2000 cfs, which will continue to
surge down the Escalante River. These flows stem from earlier
thunderstorms that produced heavy rain. The Flash Flood Warning has
been extended until 100 AM MDT. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.
