Turkey River at Garber affecting Clayton County. ...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Major severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Iowa... Turkey River at Elkader affecting Clayton County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Turkey River at Spillville. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Water begins to impact lower portions of campsites at Riverside Park Campground. Additional water begins to wrap around portions of Riverside Park, reaching the baseball field bleachers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 3.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 11.4 feet this evening.
