Neches River Near Alto affecting Anderson, Houston, Cherokee and Angelina Counties. For the Neches River...including Neches, Alto, Diboll, Rockland... Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neches River near Alto. * WHEN...From Thursday morning until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of the heavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will be completely inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 3.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning and continue rising to a crest of 18.5 feet early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.5 feet on 06/17/2016. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
