* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall earlier this morning continues. * WHERE...Southwestern Athens County in southeastern Ohio... Northwestern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... Northeastern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio... * WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 PM EDT, Emergency management reported numerous flooded roadways in the warned area due to thunderstorms earlier this morning. Flooding is ongoing. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - The gauge on the Shade River at Chester has breached 17 feet, or minor flood stage, and continues to rise. At that stage, the low spot on Scout Camp Road near Sugar Run Creek bridge floods. Agricultural fields adjacent to river begin to flood. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
