FFWFGZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... The Havasu Creek basin in... Coconino County in north central Arizona...This includes the Colorado River between river miles 156 and 158. * Until 500 PM MST. * At 206 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Havasu Creek basin. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Havasu Creek basin. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Havasu Creek basin. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Little Navajo Falls, Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls, Hualapai Hilltop, Havasupai Reservation and Supai. This includes the Colorado River between river miles 156 and 158. This includes the following swimming holes... All swimming holes on Havasu Creek near Supai. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
