Saint Marys River near Decatur affecting Allen IN, Adams and Van Wert Counties. For the Saint Marys River...including Decatur, St. Mary's River near Fort Wayne...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Saint Marys River near Decatur. * WHEN...Until Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 23.5 feet, Many east side city streets and county roads are flooded. Evacuation of east side residents near Bellmont High School becomes necessary. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 23.4 feet and steady. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:40 AM EDT Sunday was 23.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Thursday afternoon and continue falling to 16.4 feet early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
