Central Socorro County in central New Mexico... * Until 1115 PM MDT. * At 931 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain in northern Socorro. Up to 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Socorro, Escondida, Lemitar, San Antonio, Luis Lopez and Laborcita. This includes the following highways... Highway 60 between Mile Markers 122 and 138. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 139 and 158.
