...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM MDT SATURDAY FOR CENTRAL SOCORRO COUNTY... At 1117 PM MDT, the thunderstorms that produced heavy rain across Socorro and Luis Lopez have ended. Up to 6 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring in Socorro. FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Socorro and Luis Lopez. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Socorro, Escondida, Lemitar, San Antonio, Luis Lopez and Laborcita. This includes the following highways... Highway 60 between Mile Markers 122 and 138.
