Platte River At Sharps Station affecting Platte County. ...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Missouri... Platte River near Agency affecting Buchanan County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Platte River near Platte City. * WHEN...From Saturday evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Cropland near State Highway 92 near Platte City begins to flood. At 22.0 feet, Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area which is located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of pasture are also flooded. At 25.0 feet, Water overtops 1st Street in Tracy, Missouri. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 6.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late Saturday evening and continue rising to a crest of 23.3 feet early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
