FFWFGZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Havasupai Creek This includes the Colorado River between river miles 156 and 158 Coconino County in north central Arizona... * Until 130 PM MST. * At 1029 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, just north of Supai along Havasu Creek. Between 0.5 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Beaver Falls, Mooney Falls, Little Navajo Falls. This includes the Colorado River between river miles 156 and 158. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Second Chance Camp Site. This includes the following swimming holes... All swimming holes on Havasu Creek near Supai. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
